Our simulators allow for up to 6 individual golfers playing stroke play or teams of 2,3 or 4 people playing in Scramble “best ball” format. Golfers can be set-up on whichever tees they prefer and in multiple skill levels from beginner to tour levels. In beginner mode, the system actually provides a distance “boost” for poor shots, helping the novice golfer keep up with the group.
In addition to playing any one of our 200+ golf courses, the driving range option is a lot of fun for closest to the pin & longest drive challenges. Chip & Putt or Putting modes are also available or play our golf darts game – a lot of fun for a mixed group of golfers of different skill levels. We will be pleased to help you select the best option for your group!
For VIP Lounge bookings or if you only require two bays side by side for your event, you can simply book online to secure your simulator bays. For groups larger than 12 that will require 3 or more simulator bays, please fill out our contact form so we can help you plan a great event that will be fun for everyone.
For groups larger than 12 people, we have various food packages available that can include our famous stone -oven pizza, wings, nachos, salads and our delicious sandwiches and flatbreads. We also offer gluten-free and vegan options – just let us know! here.
If you would prefer to bring in your own cake, due to health regulations it must be store-bought, not home-made. No ice cream cakes or any other type of outside food or drink are permitted.
Our VIP Lounge can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably. Because there is only one simulator in the VIP Lounge, for larger groups of golfers we suggest renting 2 or more bays side by side so everyone gets in more swings!
We suggest people arrive 15 minutes before their booked time.
Our simulator bay rates are per hour – not per person. The bay is yours for the time you’ve booked, and you can have up to 8 people in a standard bay or up to 12 in VIP.
No problem! We will help plan your event so that everyone will have a great time. We can even include a Golf 101 skills clinic at the beginning of your event so that beginners get a few pointers that will help set them up for success – and fun.
We offer gluten-free and vegan options. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs so we can do our best to accommodate everyone in your group.
You can easily book a bay through the Golfplay website or mobile app. Just select your location, time slot, and number of players to reserve your spot in seconds.
You’re welcome to bring your own clubs, but Golfplay can provide high-quality house clubs for only $15 for your convenience and enjoyment. Please let us know in advance upon booking if you require clubs.

People are encouraged to bring their own clubs, however we do have several sets of rental clubs on hand if needed. Note that since people can share clubs, it’s not necessary that everyone have their own dedicated set of clubs.
Special group rates start at a minimum of 12 people. For large groups, our Kitchener location can accommodate up to 50 people and our Waterloo location can accommodate up to 140 people.
Golfzon simualtors are very accurate, and distances are very similar to what you would hit outdoors. If you hit a 7 iron 150 yards outdoors, you will hit it the same distance on our simulators. Note that bounce & roll distances are always very consistent on the simulators, while outdoors balls will run out very differently depending on the conditions.
YES! The Golfzon app can be downloaded for free from Google Play or Apple store. Once you have created a profile with Golfzon, (click “Join” at the top of this page) the app will record all your rounds of golf, including your stats for average driving distance, fairway & green percentages and average putts per round. After a few rounds, it will calculate your handicap, which can be used in our leagues and tournaments.

We supply all the balls, which are automatically teed up for you. No chasing balls means more time for golf! As for golf shoes, many of our customers bring their golf shoes, however any pair of comfortable shoe will be fine.
We have over 200 different courses from around the world to choose from including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Turnberry, Spyglass & Harbor Town. We also have many excellent courses from Korea, Japan & China that are very challenging and fun to play. You can check out all our courses, including hole by hole flyovers here.
Because the Golfzon high speed cameras and sensors are above – not at the screen, you are free to be as creative as you want with your short game. High flop shots or soft chips are no problem for Golfzon simulators – play whatever shot you want!
It really does. The Golfzon hydraulic swingplate actually lifts and tilts to replicate sidehill and downhill lies, providing that extra challenge and a more realistic playing experience. Plus, there are fairway, rough & sand areas to hit from. Don’t try to cheat though! The system knows where the ball is & will assess you a distance penalty if you inadvertantly play your shot from the wrong area.
The putting on Golfzon simulators is excellent – by the far the best of any simulated golf experience in the world. It will capture the most delicate putt down a slope and let you play breaks and lags perfectly. The software allows you to set up the gimmie range from 0 to over 18′. We typically set it at around 6′ to help keep play moving. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll love draining those long ones!
Yes – We provide the darts, which are standard steel-tipped darts like you might have at home. In fact, you are welcome to bring in your own darts!
Each lane can comfortably accommodate up to 6 players. For groups larger than 6, we suggest you book two lanes side by side. For groups larger than 10 people, you might consider one of our party packages.
We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your session so we can brief you on the game play, get you set up and have you playing as soon as possible. Feel free to arrive anytime, however, as you can always try one of our cocktails, drinks and food before you play!
Yes! You have your own private seating area to play, eat and drink for the entire duration of your session. The fun doesn’t stop there though once your session is over stay and enjoy our bar or even play a game of pool!
It is recommended that you book your Golfplay darts experience online. A total of 24 people can be booked online, (maximum 6 people per lane).
Yes. For safety reasons unfortunately, under 18s are not permitted to play darts. However, before 5pm under 18s are allowed at the dart bays ONLY if in the company of a responsible adult. Our golf simulator bays are all ages, all the time.
Our session times are broken into 60 or 90 minute time slots. If you would like to play for longer no problem you can book numerous sessions online. Or, if you are already in the venue and want to continue to play after your original session is over, please see one of our friendly staff who may be able to assist with booking you in for another session. Subject to availability.
The simulator rates are time-based, not people based. Our Golfzon Vision systems allow for as many as 6 individual golfers per bay. The simulator rate is split between the people in your group.

On average, it takes 1 hour per person to play 18 holes. For instance, for a foursome, we recommend booking 4 hours. It is your responsibility to watch the clock and manage your pace of play accordingly. Note that time booked ends 5 minutes to the hour so that the next group can get into the bay and start on time.
It is your group’s responsibility to manage your pace of play. If your booked time is over and there is no one booked in the bay after you, you can extend your time by increments of 30 minutes or more. However, if your time is up, you will be asked to end play at 5 minutes to the hour – no matter what hole you are on.

Yes! Golfplay is a great place to introduce children to the game of golf, and work on their skills without the pressures of playing on a real course. We have courses for all skill levels and even some that were designed specifically for kids to have fun (such as Rags Adventure).
Not at all! We’ve set up our fundraising packages so it’s very easy for a group to run a tournament. We provide you with a dedicated webpage to help promote the event as well as a registration page where people can pay. online. No chasing people down for their money! You simply send out the webpage link to your supporters & they register online. At the end of the tournament we do a reconciliation and can either provide a cheque or e-transfer your funds!
Just like an outdoor charty golf tournament, the amount of funds that can be raised at a Golfplay event depends in part on how much time & effort you can put towards promoting your event, securing corporate sponsors and getting prizes donated.
A modest tournament of up to 64 participants can raise between $2000 – $5,000, while a large event of up to 128 golfers can raise more than $10,000. We can help build the plan that will help your organization meet its fundrasing goals!
The most golfers we can accommodate at any time is 9 bays x 6 people per bay, playing in 3 person scrambler (best ball) format. For larger groups, we can have multiple tee times, with two or more “flights” teeing off back to back. The more people you can register, the more money you can raise!
Yes! We recommend you include food in your tournament package. Our famous stone-oven pizzas along with wings or nachos are real crowd pleasers. Just ask us for more information on our group food packages.
Most golfers will want to bring their own clubs, however for those that don’t have clubs, rental sets are available. Note that people playing in the same bay can share a set of clubs – not everyone necessarily needs their own set.
Yes! The entire Golfplay facility including the bar and lounge are yours for the duration of your event. The space can be used however you wish – be creative! The lounge can be used for a shuffleboard tournament and for prize presentation later. For supporters who would prefer not to golf, we suggest you sell a “Patron” registration so all your supporters can be part of the fun.
In addition to the money generated from registration fees, there are multiple sponsorship opportunities including closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt as well as presenting and supporting sponsorships.
Other ways to generate additional funds is to sell mulligans, have a prize raffle table or run a 50/50 draw. We are open to creative ideas – we want to help you meet your fundraising goal!
It depends in part on how many people per bay, and what style of play. Generally speaking, our 9 hole tournaments are 2-3 hours, while our 18 hole events take approximately 4-5 hours. Unlike outdoor tournaments, people are having food & drinks as they play, so there is no need for a dinner afterward. People won’t need to take a day off work to play in your tournament!
